Easter Seals Lancaster School serves 21 male students ages 9-21 years.  The residential program runs 365 days.  The school program is 180 days with a 30 day extended year program and a 240 day school year program available upon request.  The students include those with autism, emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, other health impairment, specific learning disabilities, speech-language impairments, and multiple disabilities.

The Admissions process includes a referral, tour and interview, placement, and admission.  The referral begins with copies of the current IEP and most recent evaluations.  The tour is individualized to the family and student.  We can travel to meet a student if needed.  If the parent/ guardian and/or school district would like to officially pursue placement, we schedule a meeting to answer any questions, clarify documentation needed prior to admission, and identify supports needed for the transition.  The student can be officially admitted when required documentation is received.

This process can be expedited when appropriate due to the safety of the client or the need for immediate educational services (such as in the case of a court ordered residential placement).

Programs and services include educational services for student with a broad range of abilities.  Related services including counseling, speech and language, OT and PT are available.  Other services may be able to be provided.

The Easter Seals Lancaster School is intended to provide a local resource for northern communities.  We strive to live the Easter Seals Mission: “Easter Seals provides exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.”
