Davenport School serves 20 female students, ages 13-18 years.  The facility operates an intensive level therapeutic treatment with school on campus year round, with a 6-12 month program and 24 hour supervision.  Attendees are court ordered adolescent females under CHINS, and those with Delinquent or Abuse / Neglect status.

Referrals come from DJJS, DCYF or school districts.  Referral packet contains: Youth Information Sheet, any helpful information such as Discharge Reports from other programs, Psychological Reports /  Assessments and Education reports.  Pack reviewed by Davenport Treatment team, interview scheduled with client if appropriate for program.

Services include highly structured, individualized, strength based program, focusing on female issues with Individual, group and family counseling available according to Individual Treatment Plans.  Fully accredited Special Education high school on campus with small classroom sizes and bale to accommodate most IEPs.  Summer outdoor experiential component of program.

Davenport School is part of the NFI North Agency, a private, non-profit organization.  The program’s primary treatment modality is based upon the Normative Approach, emphasizing establishing a therapeutic community that relies heavily on group interventions.  The focus is strength based, individualized treatment withing the context of a positive peer community with both staff and students modeling healthy and caring interactions and positive decision making.
